PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF MASTERS OF PHARMACYIN AUSTRIAN UNIVERSITIES

The problem of the expediency of studying the Austrian experience of professional training of Masters of pharmaceutical sciences for the improvement of domestic system of pharmaceutical educationis considered in this paper. It is noted that the improvementof the quality of future specialists education in the background for the integration of higher medical and pharmaceutical education into European educational and scientific expansion.It is emphasized that Austrian Master’s program in pharmacy has not both academic and professional orientation. It involves practical-oriented scientific research aimed at scientific organization of pharmaceutical activity. It is underlined that in the learning process according to the Master’s program in pharmacy, the student acquires in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills concerning action, production and quality control of medical substances and finished medicines.It is stressed that each university has full autonomy regarding the content of Master’s degree programs. The Master’s degree curriculum in pharmaceutical sciences of the ViennaUniversity is analyzed. Forms, didactic principles and methods of educational activity, which used in the process of professional training of Master of pharmaceutical sciences in Austrian universitiesare characterized.
