During the difficult times of the spread of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and the Russian-Ukrainian war, distance learning has become an integral part of the educational process of teachers and students in higher medical educational institutions of Ukraine. This determined the direction of this research, namely the analysis of the opinions of medical students of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The article highlights the advantages and disadvantages that arise in the way of students when switching to a distance form of education and offers students to improve the quality of education at the Department of Pathological Physiology. The majority (75.45 %) of students believed that the mixed (auditory-distance) form is optimal for continuing education in modern conditions when studying pathological physiology, since the specificity of the doctor’s profession is associated with the need to learn and improve practical skills and professional competencies.
