BASIC PRINCIPLES OF ORGANIZATION OF DISTANCE LEARNING FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS

Abstract

The article deals with the basic principles of organization of the medical students distance training, particularly those necessary for shaping the practical skills of future physicians. The authors describe peculiarities of introduction of the distance training in medical education, reviewing the literature data, thus showing increased interest to the distance training since 2020. The article provides analysis of the extramural training of the pharmaceutical students, which is comparable with the distance training. The authors define basic principles of the medical students distance training organization: principle of structure, principles of purposefulness, principle of systemic approach and system education, principles of fair grading and individual approach as well as the principle of control. The authors show that a separate challenge of the distance training is shaping practical skills of examination and procedure performing by the students as well as the distance methods of knowledge control.  In order to improve the medical students training the authors recommend to hold practical training and control of the skills by mixed system, in the classroom. The article describes the structure of the medical students distance training, regarding the humanities and clinical courses, defining basic structure elements of the educational distance environments, particularly in the O.Bogomolets NMU. The authors define basic methods of the medical students distance studies, the necessity of interactive methods emphasized. The authors also define peculiarities of the control of knowledge, and skills of the medical students using mixed system, in order to prevent academic misconduct. The issue of the medical students distance training needs further studied, particularly the medical virtual software use, in order to teach the medical students procedures and manipulations.
