Abstract

Abstract. The article reflects the main features of the organization of professional and practical training of foreign students at Ternopil National Medical University. The importance of learning the language of the country where the foreigner receives higher education is indicated, it will improve the quality of preparation and formation of communicative and professional-communicative competence, will allow to be engaged in the educational process and to adapt to the future social roles that doctors can perform as members of a certain society. The analysis of higher education standards and working curriculum, their structure and degree of usage in the process of teaching foreign citizens is carried out. The relevance of introducing a credit-modular system as an effective model for organizing the educational process, usage of “one day” methods, lines of practical skills, practice-oriented Z-system of education, semester test control of students’ knowledge at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University is indicated. Particular attention is focused to the introduction of modern pedagogical technologies, licensed exams, the development of which is carried out in collaboration with foreign universities and leading higher medical educational institutions of Ukraine, which significantly improves the quality of recruitment of foreigners in order to obtain medical, dental and pharmaceutical education. The importance of conducting educational practice as an integral part of the process of training foreign medical students at Ternopil National Medical University is highlighted. The feature of organization and methodological support of independent extracurricular work of students which has the appropriate didactic support and plays an important role in the formation of professional thinking, the application of theoretical knowledge in practical activities, contributes to the formation of foreign medical student conscious personal involvement in socially significant matters is analyzed.
