PECULIARITIES OF DISTANCE LEARNING OF STUDENTS OF THE SPECIALTY “NURSING” IN THE STUDY OF THE DISCIPLINE “BIOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY”

Abstract

The article describes the peculiarities of teaching the discipline “Biological chemistry ” in the quarantine time. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning is one of the world leading trends in education. This technology implements the principle of continuing education and is able to meet the evergrowing demand for knowledge in the information society. Modern realities of life, which require the widespread use of distance learning in Ukrainian universities, have their advantages and disadvantages. The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to comply with all quarantine measures to preserve the health and lives of all participants in the educational process, posed new challenges to higher education, which must be overcome by joint efforts of all stakeholders and to increase motivation in acquiring new knowledge. In the conditions of quarantine restrictions application of remote technologies allows to carry out educational process at rather high level. Microsoft Teams platform are the most suitable for distance learning needs. Many years of experience in the use of the latest innovative technologies at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University contributed to the effective organization of distance learning. When completing the tasks, students used the materials of SDO Moodle TNMU, which allowed them to gain quality knowledge.
