Abstract

Today at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of Ministry of Health of Ukraine operates a 5-tier system of internal quality assurance in higher education, which is based on “Standards and Recommendations for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area” with the involvement of all participants in the educational process and the distribution of functions between different structural system units (decentralization of functions). The article describes how each level of the system works and how all the structural elements of the internal quality assurance system of higher education at the university are interconnected.

The system of internal quality assurance of higher education of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of Ministry of Health of Ukraine is quite functional and effective, which allows covering all participants in the educational process under a single paradigm of ensuring the quality of education.
