Abstract

The use of the latest information technologies in all spheres of life is a very topical issue and many scientists research and implement it. Therefore, an important task of the modern higher education institution is the formation of a high level of information culture for specialists in the field of medicine in the conditions of rapid development of the information society.

Professional training of future health care workers is very important in the context of constant changes in all spheres of life in Ukraine. Doctors’ activities are impossible without the use of modern information technology, which is a necessary and accessible tool for medical research and clinical practice. Studying in medical education establishments is aimed at training highly qualified and competitive specialists who would be responsible, competent, would have high creative potential and would be able to perform qualitative activities in a certain specialty. That is why, in the process of training health workers in higher education institutions, it is necessary to introduce fundamentally new approaches to the issues of the development of training technologies.

The article focuses on the possibilities of information and communication technologies realized in the educational process of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University.
