EFFECTIVE TEACHING METHODS OF UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE (IN PROFESSIONAL DIRECTION) FOR STUDENTS OF MEDICAL SPECIALTIES

Abstract

The article analyzes a problem of the effective teaching methods of discipline “Ukrainian language (in professional direction)” for students of medical specialties. It notes that the unpredictability’s work effect, teacher’s mobility and educational reasonable digitalization as new teaching methods and approaches always diversify practical training, attract attention, interest and further contribute of student’s active work. The various tasks of topic “Language norm. Norms of orthoepy, norms of emphasis” are analyzed in the article. It underscores on the use of interesting interactive teaching methods, such as “Brainstorming”, “Photo Reporting”, “Microphone”, “Work in pairs”, “Training Tasks”, “Interactive Tasks”, “Work in groups”, “Press”. It argues the importance of video presentation in lesson, which reflects the main theoretical aspects of the topic.

The research demonstrates that “Brainstorming method” and the collective-group method “Microphone” contribute to the rapid and qualitative questioning of theoretical material. Completing “Photo Reporting task” increases students’ interest in improving their Ukrainian language proficiency, since correcting others’ mistakes is an effective method of memorizing literary language standards. It should be noted that in order to focus the students’ attention at the end of lesson, it is worth submitting tasks, which are interesting, have the final character of material studied, and stimulate the improvement of the Ukrainian language knowledge’ level. Students analyze a part of medical television program and write the violation of literary norms at practical lesson.  It emphasizes that the working in pairs and in groups requires more time, but such tasks are highly effective. Undoubtedly, the qualitative fulfillment of the offered tasks requires at least partial preliminary preparation of students for the class: knowledge of theoretical material, writing of suggested tasks at home, honest completion of search work.
