FEATURES OF TEACHING DENTAL ASPECTS OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES IN THE CYCLES OF THEMATIC IMPROVEMENT OF DENTAL PRACTITIONERS

The aim of the work – to improve the acquisition of general and special competencies and the acquisition of new practical skills by the students at the Department of Dentistry of institutions (faculties) of postgraduate education in relation to diagnosis and tactics of actions in case of lesions of the oral mucosa in infectious diseases.
The main body. The article presents modern didactic approaches of the teachers of the Institute of Dentistry of the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education named after P. L. Shupyk of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to teach the issue of lesions of oral cavity mucous in common infectious diseases in the process of continuous professional development of dental practitioners with the acquisition of new general and special competences and practical skills.
Conclusions. The acquisition of new competences by dentists and improvement of practical skills during their preparation in the thematic improvement courses of dental departments of postgraduate institutions (faculties) in diagnosing and treating lesions of oral mucosa in common infectious diseases using modern technologies is an important part of their continuous professional development and needs introduction as a separate component in the educational process on a countrywide scale.
