The Ukrainian scientific and educational community is asking for your support!

Ukraine, together with its armed forces and courageous citizens, is resisting with dignity with the support of the entire civilised world, which is imposing unprecedented sanctions aimed at complete isolation of the Russian Nazi aggressor. Therefore, the progressive global scientific community should not stand aside, but should join this struggle of Ukrainian citizens for the peaceful existence of not only Ukraine, but the entire democratic world.

In the twenty-first century, your worthy response to tanks, multiple launch rocket systems and missiles should be to deny access to high technology, innovation, scientific research and complete isolation of information support for Russian researchers.

We call on you:

  • block access to all scientometric databases and materials of scientific publishers for citizens and institutions of the Russian Federation;
  • make it impossible for scientists affiliated with Russian institutions and scientific institutions of the Russian Federation to participate in international grant programmes funded by the European Union and other partners;
  • to suspend the participation of researchers, students and institutions from the Russian Federation in current international academic mobility programmes;
  • to boycott attempts to hold scientific events in Russia (in particular, scientific conferences, symposia, etc.);
  • suspend indexing of scientific publications published in the Russian Federation in all scientometric databases;
  • prohibit citizens of the Russian Federation from being editors/co-editors/reviewers of international publications;
  • make it impossible to publish scientific works of Russian scientists if they are affiliated with Russian scientific or educational institutions;
  • stop servicing existing research equipment and supplying new equipment.

We are confident that such decisive actions will activate the scientific community and the proactive population of the Russian Federation to stop this shameful military aggression against all civilised humanity.

Without your unity with the Ukrainian nation today, tomorrow may not happen!
