Abstract

Principles of forming of unified medical information system for big city are presented. The system increases an effectiveness of medical institutions functioning, and improves patients' service. The unified medical information system is based on created hospital information system "Doctor Eleks", which is intended for informational support and workflow automatization of the modern medical institution. Main components of the information system are described, including "reception", "doctor", "laboratory", "management" subsystems. Innovative approach to data input using the examination templates is illustrated. Physical and logical structures of the system are explained.
