SUMMARY. The aim – to analyze and recommend the implementation of floating therapy in medical institutions of our country for the treatment of various pathologies and the subsequent rehabilitation of military personnel and the civilian population.
Material and Methods. The study employed bibliosemantic methods and methods of content and structural-logical analysis.
Results. Every person experiences stress throughout their life, many of which they push into the subconscious if they cannot or do not want to deal with. Not only the psyche, but also the body suffers from this: various muscle tensions are formed, which appear in places of constant spasm.
It has been proven that the patient’s stay in an Epsom salt solution relaxes the human body, improves the course of many somatic diseases. The high concentration of salt allows you not to immerse yourself in the solution, but to lie on its surface without touching the bottom, such a position creates a feeling of weightlessness. A comfortable temperature helps the patient imagine himself in the air or in open space. For relaxation, relaxation music is turned on, which from the first minutes of the session helps to disconnect from the problems of the outside world and immerse yourself in weightlessness.
When a person enters the float chamber, the person’s muscles are in a state of complete relaxation, and endorphins – hormones of happiness – enter the blood. In this regard, the concentration of the stress hormone cortisol in the body sharply decreases, which leads to the normalization of the physical and mental state of the victims.
The article proposes the use of the floating method for various pathologies both in treatment and rehabilitation in clinics in Ukraine
Conclusions. 1. Floating therapy serves as an effective method of assistance for individuals who have experienced physical and psychological trauma. The advantages of using float therapy include its effectiveness on both somatic (during the float session, the blood is enriched with magnesium, thereby restoring the body’s energy, etc.) and emotional levels (deep relaxation, the emergence of the ability to cope with stress, and a reduction in anxiety levels). Floating helps in the formation of productive life strategies that contribute to personal development in the challenging conditions of modern life.
- The diversity of challenges facing our medicine today requires the effective implementation of innovative methods in the treatment and rehabilitation of military personnel and civilians in Ukraine. The practical experience of utilizing these methods, including floating therapy, deserves broader integration into the clinical practice of our medical institutions and should be used as one of the tools for restoring the health of both combatants and civilians affected by the hostilities in the country.
