PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND COMPREHENSIVE CORRECTION OF MALADJUSTMENT OF WIVES AND MOTHERS OF PATIENTS WITH PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA WITH LONG DISEASES, AND ITS EFFICIENCY

The purpose of the study was on the basis of analysis of clinical and psychological characteristics of maladjustment of wives and mothers of patients, suffering from paranoidschizophrenia (PS) with a long term illness, to develop a set of psychocorrection
measures and evaluate the effectiveness of their implementation.
Based on the Kharkiv Regional Neuropsychiatric Clinic in the
period from 2012 to 2016 with clinical psychopathological and psychodiagnostics
(questionnaire "The level of neuroticism" and M. Hamilton-
Scale) methods were examined 320 men with paranoid schizophrenia
and their close relatives – mothers or wives. Disease duration was
12.7±3.4 years. Group-1 consisted of patients who lived in their father's
family (166 families), group-2 – mentally ill wives, had their own families,
(154 families). The study proved that the wives and mothers of men
with PS with a long term illness, suffering of maladaptive states, which
is manifested in the form of clinical and psychopathological phenomena,
personal, social and psychological maladjustment. Based on the
data, developed a set of measures psychocorrection, fundamental
principles which are individual in nature, taking into account the structure
and expression maladaptive changes; integrated psycho influences;
phasing correction, which provides matching content and intensity of
corrective action stage and level of infestation mind, consistency and
continuity of medical and psychological, psychological, rehabilitative
and preventive measures; availability of rehabilitation programs for
relatives of patients with PS, which creates prerequisites for the widespread
introduction of such a complex in the practice of health care.
The complex psychocorrection activities aimed at leveling the clinical
manifestations of the psychological, personal, social and psychological
maladjustment wives and mothers of patients with PS with a long term
illness, was effective in relation to goals.
