The article presents the medical and statistical characterization of morbidity and mortality in Ukraine of cancer diseases. It was established that dynamic growth of cancer occurs mainly due to increase in incidence among female population.
The aim of the study – to give medical and statistical evaluation of morbidity and mortality in Ukraine for 2005–2015 from cancer pathology and define their basic dynamic changes.
Materials and Methods. The material for the study were data from the National Cancer Registry of Ukraine for the period 2005–2015. The study used statistical and bibliosemantic methods.
Results and Discussion. Over the last 10 years the population of Ukraine has increased significantly as the incidence and prevalence of cancer. Analyzing the prevalence of cancer pathology can be obtained based on calculations confidently say that the incidence of cancer is increasing year in year growth rate of expressive, despite the decrease in population of Ukrainian. The incidence of male and female population in different regions is characterized by different parameters of dynamic performance. The number of deaths in the age group 30–54 years prevails among men, and the age period after 65 years among the female population.
Conclusions. A statistically significant difference in the age structure of mortality for men and women from cancer pathology is not installed. In the period of 30–54 years age specific percentage of deaths among the male population dominates similar parameters established among the female population – in 0.73 % and in the age between 65–74 years prevails in the specific percentage of 1.95 % of the male population mortality, aged 75 years and older – 1.3 % of the female population mortality.
