THE EMOTIONAL STATE OF FEATURES OF MEN WHOSE WIVES SUFFER FROM THE PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA

The Purpose of the work was to study the characteristics of emotional state of men whose wives suffer from the paranoid schizophrenia (PS). On the basis of the psychiatric department of the Transcarpathian Regional Narcological Dispensary during 2014–2016 years 100 women with PS and their husbands were examined. As a comparison group 50 husbands of normal mentally healthy women were examined. In husbands whose women were suffering from PS, the distinct changes psycho-emotional areas associated with the presence of severe mental illness in their women were found. The basis of psycho-emotional changes up depressed and anxious and depressive disorders neurotic level, developing on the background of severe phenomena asthenia, emotional lability and vegetosomatic violations. These changes are closely related to the severity of psychotic symptoms in women. These changes can be considered as persistent neurotic manifestations in adaptation syndrome. These data formed the basis us in the development of medical and psychological measures to support families of women with PS.
