The article describes characteristic changes of intra-articular structures as a result of trauma, as well as the pathogenetic effect of post-traumatic hemarthrosis on the development of degenerative-dystrophic changes in the cartilage of the articular surfaces. Considerable attention is paid to the study of the duration of hemarthrosis of the knee joint, on the development of degenerative changes in its structures.
