Abstract

Introduction. Psychosocial disorders are observed in the majority of soldiers and victims who are hospitalized as a result of injuries during the war. Timely diagnosis of post-stress disorders allows to prevent the development of chronic forms of mental disorders and somatic diseases, to develop individual tactics of psychosocial rehabilitation to improve the quality of life and social adaptation of wounded soldiers and victims of war. The provision of psychological and social assistance in Ukraine is regulated at the state level, but does not meet the growing needs in the context of the ongoing war.

The aim of the study – to find out the main psychosocial problems of soldiers and victims who are undergoing inpatient treatment for injuries and to determine the role of a nurse in conducting rehabilitation activities to accelerate their recovery. To analyze the literature on methods of psychodiagnostics and psychosocial rehabilitation of сombatants in Europe and the United States and compare them with the current national ones.

The main part. The study involved 45 male soldiers, aged 18 to 53 years, with an average age of (32,5±0,3) years, who were inpatients for injuries of varying severity at the MCCC “MLSD”. An online survey of respondents was conducted on the Google-Forms platform to determine their psychological state. For this purpose, the Short Form Anxiety, Depression and PTSD Scale and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) were used and a specially designed questionnaire that included 12 questions assessing the quality of medical and rehabilitation services in the hospital, the attitude of the staff of the departments to patients, and the role of the nurse in improving their health. The analysis and implementation of the experience of medical and psychosocial rehabilitation in Europe and the United States make it possible to expand existing rehabilitation programs, improve the quality of service provision and accelerate the recovery of servicemen. Another important task is to clearly regulate the role of nurses in the rehabilitation process and expand their powers to improve the quality of the rehabilitation process.

Conclusions. The results of the study indicate the need to improve the programs of comprehensive rehabilitation of soldiers and victims and expand the powers of the nurse in the rehabilitation process. The structure of neuropsychiatric disorders among military patients and the importance of professional competence of nurses in working with victims of military operations during the inpatient stage of rehabilitation were determined.
