Evaluation study of the functional state of masticatory muscles in patients with lesions of periodontal tissues against the background of concomitant herpes virus infections

The rapid development of dentistry, the problem of quality treatment pathology of periodontal tissue against decrease of general and local factors of resistance of the organism in lesions of herpes virus remains unsolved. This significantly worse function of the teeth-jaw system, including function of masticatory muscles electromyographic study which is one of the leading diagnostic methods in dentistry.
The aim of the work was the determination of the functional status of masticatory muscles in patients with chronic periodontal tissue pathology and concomitant herpes virus infection in conditions intact dentition. Electromyographic study conducted on 26 patients with chronic generalized periodontitis of I–II severity stage against the background of concomitant herpes virus infection using neuroelectromiograf M-Test production system combining diverticular disease (Kharkiv). In patients with pathology of periodontal tissues and concomitant chronic herpes virus infections we detected a significant change in the activity of chewing muscles and functional changes of the teeth-jaw system. Its the need to develop effective methods of prevention and treatment of functions tooth-jaw system in patients with pathology of periodontal tissue on the background of concomitant chronic herpes infection.References
