Abstract

The aim of the work was to assess the state of oral homeostasis on the background of flu and other respiratory viral infections by determining immunobiological disorders in the oral cavity of sick children. There was conducted clinical and laboratory examination of 318 young children with the flu, acute respiratory viral infections lesions of the oral mucosa and 66 children without any lesions. Determination of elastase was performed by L. Visser, general proteolytic activity – according to the method by A. P. Levytsky. Level of sIg A in oral fluid ELISA was determined by test systems "Vector-Best", lysozyme activity – photonephelometrics method by V. H. Dorofeychuk. With increasing of the disease severity sIg A concentration in the oral fluid is reduced compared to the performance of children in the control group. Severe influenza stomatitis is accompanied by a significant decrease in the concentration sIg A to 0.23 ±0.01 g / l, which is 2.48 times lower than the same period of the children in the control group. Indicators of activity of lysozyme oral fluid of sick children are growing up to 32.2±0.4 % with severe disease. Elastase activity and total proteolytic activity increases with the severity of the disease, and is 13.95±0.08 mkkat / l and 16.36±0.03 nkat / l when severe disease respectively. The data suggest oral fluid immunological changes in children with stomatitis caused by respiratory viral agents that occur against the background of violations of immune mouth defense.
