Abstract

The article gives an analysis of contemporary views on the life quality of patients with congenital cleft upper lip and palate at the stages of their rehabilitation. Particular attention is payed to the methods of determining oral health-related quality of life using various questionnaires. It was shown that various aspects of life quality are closely related to the age and sexual characteristics of the patients being studied.

The aim of the study – to analyze the sources of scientific and medical information on the issues determining the life quality of patients with congenital cleft upper lip and palate at the stages of their rehabilitation.

Materials and Methods. The study used the library and analytical methods.

Results and Discussion. There were analyzed and processed sources of scientific and medical information that relate to determining the quality features of patients with congenital cleft upper lip and palate.

Conclusions. The analysis of the results of the studies presented in the review confirms that only successful complex treatment with the use of a multidisciplinary approach can significantly improve various aspects of the oral health-related quality of life.
