One of the most common diseases in perimenopausal women is genital prolapse, which associated with connective tissue dysplasia (CTD). In order to study the pathogenetic role of collagen desintegration markers in development of genital prolapse in women in perimenopause the study involved 90 patients with genital prolapse with CTD and 30 perimenopausal women without prolapse and phenotypic signs of connective tissue dysplasia. In patients with genital prolapse in conjunction with CTD were disturbed collagen formation, disturbances in the system of matrix metalloproteinases and glycosaminoglycans and mineral metabolism. Correction of metabolic processes will stop of the further progression of the disease.References
