PARTNERSHIP DELIVERY AS PREVENTION OF OBSTETRIC AND PERINATAL COMPLICATIONS.

Over the last decade rapid and dramatic changes in a classic obstetrics have been occurred, that cause discussions and conflicts in scientific and practical medical community and the population. Principles of safe obstetrics are based on a set of scientifically based approaches based on the achievementsof modern science and practices whose purpose is to reduce maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. Among the modern perinatal technologies partnership delivery have become increasingly popular. In addition to the positive influence on the psycho-emotional state of a woman in labor, free choice of position, the presence of a partner helps to agree on obstetric interventions. Providing complete and objective information on family couple about tactics of labor contributes to trust and share responsibility between the medical practitioners and women. Properly trained partner can be seen as one of the factors that are able to prevent "obstetric aggression". The evaluation of the
partnership labor in Ivano-Frankivsk city clinical maternity hospital have caused a significant increase of the number of uncomplicated birth, decrease of urgent caesarean sections by 6,3±1,2 % (p<0,05), reduction of maternal injuries (p<0,05), decrease of perinatal mortality and complications of the postpartum period.
