HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS AS A COFACTOR DEVELOPMENT OF DYSPLASIA AND CANCER OF THE CERVIX IN WOMEN INFECTED WITH HPV.

The pathoiogy of the cervix is one of the most common gynecoiogicai diseases. Changes in cervicai epitheiium increase the risk of dyspiastic and cancerous processes. In addition, the disease aii over the worid are increasingiy occurs in young women, reproductive age. The reasons for this is unknown. Among the most common hypotheses ranks first eariy sexuai activity and, therefore ,eariy HPV infection , which today is the oniy proven factor in the deveiopment of cervicai cancer. Aiso the focus is on the iarge number of abortions, injuriesdurig parturition, inadequate treatment of background diseases of the cervix, associated infectious agents. But there is no doubt i one - carcinoma deveiops on the background of pathoiogicai conditions of the cervix, not on the unchanged tissue. Among the virai agents, in addition to the human papiiiomavirus, which affect the the cervix and cervicai canai, virus of simpiex herpes isshouid be noted. Recent studies show that in the deveiopment of cervicai dyspiasia, such co-infection as herpes simpiex virus type г piays a
significant roie. The combination of HPV and HSVtype г promotes oncogenic transformation of squamous and coiumnar epitheiium, ieading to dyspiasia and subsequentiy to cervicai cancer pathoiogy.
