The diagnosis and treatment of background processes of cervix are the subject of many studies, but the problem of relapses remains acute. Despite the fact that the impact of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the development of neoplasia and cervical cancer has been proven definitively the question why HPV infections lead to cervical cancer in some women, while in others - not, stays open. Recent studies show that HPV infection leads to the development of dysplasia or cervical cancer just after prior exposure of viruses that cause a decrease in immune defense for women - herpes simplex virus type 1/2, (HSV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). The article presents the results of examination and treatment of 90 women with cervical diseases. It was established that in women with concurrent herpes implex, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus and HPV infection, combined treatment with antiviral drugs that has an impact on HPV and CMV, HSV and EBV promotes better elimination of viruses, which further improves the effectiveness of treatment of patients with background and precancerous diseases of the cervix.
