Maternal obesity is a serious problem in obstetric worldwide practice. It is important that women with high BMI stay informed about nutrition and exercise before conception, during pregnancy and after childbirth by appropriate professionals. This ensures that women will properly follow the methodology of safe weight loss prior to conception, appropriate weight gain during pregnancy and adequate weight loss after birth. Taking into account the high risk of maternal and perinatal complications associated with obesity, it is necessary to develop a set of therapeutic and diagnostic measures and implement dynamic monitoring of pregnant women to minimize these risks.References
