INTERNSHIP IN OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY AS A STAGE IN THE FORMATION OF A FULLY INDEPENDENT PRACTICING PHYSICIAN

The aim of the study – to evaluate the effectiveness of a three-year internship in obstetrics and gynecology as a form of obstetrics and gynecology mentality among interns and its application in acquiring formed and accurate practical skills in solving various obstetrics and gynecology tasks and situations, as well as practicing them in a simulation center.
Materials and Methods. An analysis of the quality of training of medical interns during the three-year internship was conducted. The quality of the training was evaluated based on the data of computer diagnostics, the solution of test problems, situational problems, the degree of mastery of providing practical skills on obstetric phantoms and in the stimulation center.
Results and Discussion. Analysis of the training of interns of obstetrician-gynecologists during the three-year training period showed the effectiveness of long-term and gradual training of interns for independent work in the health care system.
Conclusions. The implementation of various methods for training obstetrician-gynecologist interns during the three-year internship showed the effectiveness of this methodology, designed for the gradual mastery of theoretical and practical knowledge of intern doctors, the gradual deepening of awareness of their profession, which contributed to the gradual formation of the clinical thinking of obstetrician-gynecologists after the three-year internship internships. Taking into account the European vector of development, the future health care system in Ukraine must be coordinated with European principles.
