Abstract

The aim of the study – to analyze the psycho-emotional state of women with benign ovarian tumors on the background of obstetric and perinatal complications.

Materials and Methods. We comprehensively examined 67 pregnant women with benign tumors and ovarian tumors that were detected before pregnancy or in the first trimester of gestation (main group) and 50 pregnant women without ovarian tumors and other severe gynecological or somatic pathology, who formed the control group. Vegetative-vascular characteristics, features of psycho-emotional state, personal and reactive anxiety, presence of signs of depression and quality of life in pregnant women were determined. With the help of the licensed program SPSS v.21 statistical processing of data entered in spreadsheets Excel –2010. In parallel with the search engines Pubmed, Google Scholar, Sciencedirect, Webcardio analysis of literature sources on this topic for the last 5 years.

Results and Discussion. Depressive states often occur as a reaction to illness, constant stress, and on the other hand can themselves be the cause of somatic manifestations and various complications. According to our data, according to the E. Beck scale, manifestations of depression are practically not observed in healthy women with a physiological course of pregnancy (90.0 %).  While among patients with benign ovarian neoplasms signs of depression of varying severity are already noted by more than a third of patients (37.3 %, p<0.05), and among patients with gestational complications, the vast majority of 72.1 % vs. 24.5 % in the subgroup 2 (p<0.05). An even higher percentage of women in the main group showed a high level of situational anxiety, which corresponds to the level of stress and response to it at the moment: 40.3 % of patients in the main group against 22.0 % of women in the control group (p<0.05).

Conclusions. We found in pregnant women with benign ovarian tumors and gestational disorders a high frequency of severe manifestations of vegetative-vascular dysfunction syndrome.
