A rare dysplastic lesion of the knee joint in a newborn has been described, namely sagittal recursion in combination with intrauterine subluxation of the lower leg. The presence of deep bedsores of the thigh indicates that this disease is in utero and the child was born with a pronounced deformity of the knee. The cause of these dysplastic changes is unknown. It is thought that the genes that make up the "bird's knee" are present in humans, but they are blocked, in a "sleeping state" and manifested under certain circumstances. Obviously, a burdensome obstetric history in the mother was a major factor in such dysplastic changes in the knee joint. A closed repositioning of the subluxation of the bones of the right leg was performed. The axis of the leg was restored, there was flexion in the knee joint, but when stretching the dislocation of the leg was restored. In order to prevent recurrence of dislocation, the limb after fixation was fixed with a splint in the position of bending the knee joint at right angles.
