Анотація

З віком значно знижується жіноча фертильність в основному за рахунок зменшення кількості та якості ооцитів. Ендокринна функція ячників також зазнає вікового впливу та не в змозі підтримувати нейроендокринну регуляцію. Можливо, вікові зміни першочергово розпочинаються в гіпоталамо-гіпофізарній ділянці, проте це потребує додаткових досліджень. Вікові зміни відбуваються і в тканинах матки, особливо ендометрії, який не в змозі забезпечити адекватну імплантацію та підтримку розвитку ембріона.
