The article presents a synthesis of published data relating to the use of ultrasound cavitation in the treatment of purulent wounds of the maxillofacial region.
Despite the considerable amount of work, the literature regarding the mechanism of action of ultrasound cavitation on a biological object, rather fragmentary and not systematized, which allows the physician to orient the practical work and research on the development of new clinical methods of application of low-frequency ultrasound to optimize the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region.
