FEATURES OF CERTAIN TYPES OF PERCEPTION IN SCHOOLCHILDREN WITH HEARING DEPRIVATION

SUMMARY. It was examined the features of perception of size, space and time by the schoolchildren of junior, middle and senior ages with sensorineural hearing loss with the use of a computer program «Efecton Studio 2009». A significant difference was found out in perception by the schoolchildren of all age periods with hearing impairments with respect to the schoolchildren of the corresponding age group with normal hearing. Age differences and their peculiarities in the schoolchildren of both study groups were shown. It was concluded that the process of perception in schoolchildren with hearing impairments developed by the same laws as the perception of schoolchildren without hearing impairments, but the specificity of violations is accompanied by the untimely formation of cross-functional interactions (between perception and speech), which has a negative effect on the development of one of the most difficult properties of perception – awareness, which leads to violations of the basic types of perception.
