Evaluation of use of nesteroid anti-inflamatory medicine in treatment of osteoarthritis of the kneejoins

SUMMARY. The results of study of the effectiveness of aceclofenac (aertal) compared with diclofenac sodium inthe treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee are presented. Severity of pain in the knee joints and functional status
of patients in the dynamics of treatment was determined by visual analogue scale of pain, WOMAC scale, Leken’s
functional index, The McGill Pain Questionnaire. After the treatment in the main group of patients taking aceclofenac
and comparison groups there was observed a decrease in all studied parameters, more pronounced in patients of the
main group. Reducing the intensity of pain, restoration of motor activity, improvement of functional capacity of patients
demonstrates the feasibility of using of aceclofenac in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joints.
