Abstract

Summary. The article adduses a retrospective analysis and synthesis of literature on the history of communications, development and application of extracorporeal shock-wave therapy in modern medical practice, the essence of the method of application of the shock wave, the main indications and contraindications for use.

Key words: extracorporeal shock-wave therapy, shock wave, wave generators.
