SUMMARY. The aim – to analyze the prospects for the implementation and development of robotic surgery (robot-assisted surgery), which is a high-tech method of treating various pathologies of the population of Ukraine in the current conditions.
Material and Methods. The work uses the bibliosemantic method and methods of content and structural-logical analysis.
Results. In modern realities, the role of technology in the medical field is extremely important, in particular in surgical practice and physical rehabilitation, which is a component of recovery after surgical treatment. Technological achievements in various fields of medical activity open up new horizons for providing more effective methods of restoring body functions and improving the quality of life of military personnel and civilians who need rehabilitation after surgical interventions, the consequences of mine and explosive injuries, gunshot wounds of various genesis and localization, or chronic diseases. It is especially important to study the experience of Western countries in using technologies to improve surgical methods, physical rehabilitation of victims and determine possible prospects for the implementation of innovative methods in Ukraine. Technologies such as robotics, VAC-wound therapy, VR (virtual reality), artificial intelligence (AI), etc., open up wide opportunities for improving the process of surgical treatment and physical recovery of military and civilian casualties as a result of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine in the war with Russia.
Robotic surgery, also known as robot-assisted surgery, is an innovative technology that has changed the global surgical direction. The use of robots has made it possible to achieve an unprecedented level of accuracy and flexibility in surgical manipulations. In this article, we will consider the numerous advantages and disadvantages of robotic surgery, as well as future prospects for its implementation in Ukrainian medicine.
Conclusions. The emergence of advanced surgical techniques and technologies for performing modern surgical interventions, which allow to accelerate the recovery process of patients, is positive. However, surgical intervention is only the first stage of their recovery, therefore it is advisable to involve modern methods and means of physical therapy for the convalescence of the profile group of patients.
