Abstract

SUMMARY. The aim – to analyze the effectiveness of the mixed form of organization of the educational process.

Material and Methods. The modeling of the mixed form of organization of the educational process was carried out from the point of view of efficiency and economy.

Results. The authors analyze a mixed form of education as a combination of distance and clinical education. The semester should be divided into "theoretical" and "clinical" components. Etiology, pathogenesis, classification, diagnostic program, indications and contraindications for surgery, types of surgery can be viewed remotely. The duration of the theoretical component can be 30–60 %.

During clinical classes, students should master the technique of examining a patient, acquire the skills of making a diagnosis, forming an examination and treatment plan. At surgical departments, students will be able to work in dressing rooms and participate in operations. The student will be able to follow the course of the disease in a specific patient, that is, study the disease as a dynamic process.

Clinical classes are best conducted in blocks/cycles, which involve the stay of a group of students in one hospital for several days or weeks. The clinical part can be combined with industrial practice, due to which it is possible to increase the number of hours allocated for teaching basic clinical disciplines. Alternation should be widely used. The duration of the clinical part should be of the order of two months, and in general for the academic year at least four months. An additional advantage of the considered system is cost-effectiveness: reducing the load on clinical bases and infrastructure of universities.

Conclusion. In emergency conditions, the organization of the educational process should become maximally oriented to the requirements of the emergency period and, first of all, to the effective mastery of practical skills and the safety of all participants in the educational process. According to the authors, this is best achieved when using a mixed (online/offline) form of education.
