SUMMARY. The aim – to analyse of a clinical case with resistant arterial hypertension (AH), to reveal the main reasons for the ineffectiveness of its treatment.
Material and Methods. In this clinical case, the course of hypertension was complicated by its combination with diabetes mellitus (DM), obesity (OB), chronic renal failure (CKD), bronchial asthma (BA) and osteoarthritis (OA).
Results and Conclusions. Correction of the patient's lifestyle and treatment compliance are particularly important factors in the treatment of hypertension. Modern drug therapy is highly effective, affordable, based on the results of multicenter randomized studies, but there are no such studies comparing the effectiveness of specific treatment regimens, the choice of which is up to the family doctor.
