The global aging of the population, the increase in the proportion of women in pre- and menopausal periods and the associated increase in the incidence of persistent dysuric disorders constitute a serious medical problem. The relevance of the study is also due to the extremely pronounced negative influence of urogenital disorders on the quality of life and work capacity of this category of women, which is an important socio-economic problem.
The aim – to study the morphological сhanges of the urinary bladder mucosa in dysuric disorders in women during menopause.
Material and Methods. The mucous membrane of the bladder was examined and biopsies of the mucous membrane in the area of the triangle and the left lateral wall were examined in 62 women with persistent dysuria, aged 48 to 72 years. Cystoscopic and histological research methods were used.
Results. It was found that in the mucous membrane of the bladder with dysuria in women of the menopausal period there are distinct disorders of hemomicrocirculation, dystrophic and degenerative lesions, accompanied by inflammatory reactions in the lamina propria and compensatory hyperplastic and adaptive processes.
Conclusions. With persistent dysuria in women during menopause, there is a significant remodeling of all structural components of the bladder mucosa.
