A new approach to the development of individual rehabilitation programs for patients with primary gonarthrosis (PGA) was offered. To determine the clinical effectiveness of comprehensive programs of medical rehabilitation of patients with PGA circuit developed index assessing the severity of disease and the effectiveness of treatment in sanatorium stage of rehabilitation. It was proved that to optimize rehabilitation in sanatorium conditions must be individually oriented use of natural, physical therapy, physical factors and alternative treatment and recovery systems, hence the decrease in the frequency of complications, increasing the efficiency of rehabilitation and extension of the duration of remission.
