Abstract

Patients with vascular anomalies (VA) are usually difficult to distinguish and clearly characterize considering great amount of diseases, and the diverse terminology that is used in many medical institutions. The aim of the work was to analyze the group of patients with VA requiring inpatient survey and treatment in specialized hospital with muldisciplinary team. Adaptation and implementation of a unified classification system is the first step to establish the correct diagnosis and determine treatment strategy of vascular anomalies. Clinical manifestations of vascular anomalies have clear age features. Despite the fact that vascular tumors occur 10 times more frequently than VM among hospitalized children vascular tumors accounted for 31.7 % and VM – 68.3 %.
