Focus and Scope

Вісник наукових досліджень. Bulletin of Scientific Research publishes research papers covering all aspects of the latest advances in medicine; the experience and perspectives of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of major diseases; coverage of the latest data on the etiology and pathogenesis and experimental research. It integrates the efforts of clinicians and scholars for development and implementation of new methods of diagnosis, treatment, and prophylaxis. Journal is published 4 times per a year and contains publications in different branches of medicine, which are practical and scientific value to physicians of all specialties: internal medicine; surgery; pediatrics; neurology; obstetrics and gynecology; oncology; experimental medicine.

The journal is included in the list of periodicals of Ukraine "Перелік наукових фахових видань України", Medicine.

Peer Review Process

Following a preliminary triage to select submissions suitable for Вісник наукових досліджень. Bulletin of Scientific Research, papers are sent out for external peer review by the Managing Editor to at least two relevant specialists. This process will be executed in a robust fashion but in as short a time as possible. After peer review, the paper may be accepted, revisions requested, or rejected; this decision is taken by the Managing Editor, in consultation with the Consultant Editor when required.

Вісник наукових досліджень. Bulletin of Scientific Research utilizes a double-blind peer-review process in which the name and information are withheld from the author and from the reviewer. Please note that the Editors are not obliged to invite any recommended/opposed reviewers to assess your manuscript.

If the paper is accepted, the page charge fee is due. After payment is received the next phase is an in-depth, detailed technical edit by two, sometimes three, medical Technical Editors. The editorial and scientific queries they raise must be answered to the satisfaction of the journal before a final typeset proof is produced.

Editorial policies

Вісник наукових досліджень. Bulletin of Scientific Research is committed to upholding the integrity of the academic record. We encourage authors to refer to the Committee on Publication Ethics’ International Standards for Authors, Publishing Ethics Resource Kit of Elsevier Publishing, and also relies on the experience of authoritative international journals and publishing houses. Compliance with the rules of ethics of scientific publications by all participants in this process promotes the rights of authors to intellectual property, improving the quality of the publication in the eyes of the world scientific community and the exclusion of the possibility of improper use of author's materials in the interests of individuals

The author (or group of authors) realizes that he has primary responsibility for the novelty and reliability of the results of scientific research, which implies observance of the following principles: 1) the authors of the article should provide reliable results of the research. Known false or false statements are unacceptable.

2) the authors must ensure that the results of the study, set forth in the submitted manuscript, are completely original. The borrowed fragments or statements must be made with the obligatory indication of the author and the original source. Excessive borrowings, as well as plagiarism in any form, including citations, rephrasing or assigning rights to the results of others' research, are unethical and inappropriate.
3)It is necessary to recognize the contribution of all persons, one way or another influenced the course of the study, in particular, references should be given in the article to the works that were important in the course of the research.
4) authors should not submit to the magazine a manuscript that has been sent to another journal and is under consideration, as well as an article already published in another journal.
5)Co-authors of the article must be indicated by all persons who have made a significant contribution to the research. Among co-authors, it is unacceptable to indicate persons who did not participate in the study.
6) if the author reveals significant errors or inaccuracies in the article at the stage of its consideration or after its publication, it should as soon as possible inform the editorial office of the magazine

Declaration of conflicting interests

It is the policy of Вісник наукових досліджень. Bulletin of Scientific Research to require a declaration of conflicting interests from all authors enabling a statement to be carried within the paginated pages of all published articles.

Please ensure that a Declaration of Conflicting Interests section is included at the end of your manuscript, after any acknowledgments and prior to the references. If no conflict exists, please state that ‘The Author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interest’.

Bioethical principles

Вісник наукових досліджень. Bulletin of Scientific Research focuses on the rules recommended by the European Convention for the Protection of Vertebrate Animals used for research and other scientific purposes (Strasbourg, 1986), the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki, and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

All procedures describing experiments involving the use of laboratory animals, any material of human origin or the participation of donors and/or patients should be conducted in accordance with the rules of bioethics.

Medical research involving human subjects must be conducted according to the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki.

Submitted manuscripts should conform to the ICMJE Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals, and all papers reporting animal and/or human studies must state in Methods section that the relevant Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board provided (or waived) approval. Please ensure that you have provided the full name and institution of the review committee, in addition to the approval number.

For research articles, authors are also required to state in the methods section whether participants provided informed consent and whether the consent was written or verbal.

Information on informed consent to report individual cases or case series should be included in the manuscript text. A statement is required regarding whether written informed consent for patient information and images to be published was provided by the patient(s) or a legally authorized representative.

All research involving animals submitted for publication must be approved by an Ethics Committee with oversight of the facility in which the studies were conducted. The journal has adopted the Consensus Author Guidelines on Animal Ethics and Welfare for Veterinary Journals published by the International Association of Veterinary Editors.

Plagiarism

Вісник наукових досліджень. Bulletin of Scientific Research take issues of copyright infringement, plagiarism or other breaches of best practice in publication very seriously. We seek to protect the rights of our authors and we always investigate claims of plagiarism or misuse of published articles. Equally, we seek to protect the reputation of the journal against malpractice. Submitted articles may be checked with duplication-checking software. Where an article, for example, is found to have plagiarised other work or included third-party copyright material without permission or with insufficient acknowledgement, or where the authorship of the article is contested, we reserve the right to take action including, but not limited to: publishing an erratum or corrigendum (correction); retracting the article; taking up the matter with the head of department or dean of the author's institution and/or relevant academic bodies or societies; or taking appropriate legal action.

Journal History

The journal was founded in 1993 as a first electronic scientific edition in Western Ukraine. Since 1995 it has been got a print version also. The Editor-in-Chief along whole this time is Professor Ihor Zhulkevich. Bulletin of Scientific Research. Вісник наукових досілджень is the multidisciplinary journal in an area of Medicine.
