REFORMATION OF SURGICAL SERVICE OF THE TERNOPIL REGION

Purpose: To improve the quality of surgical care in Ukraine.
Materials and methods: The analysis of profiling and supply surgical beds of Ternopil region has been carried out.
Results. It is established general surgical beds in region and their duplications in the central district and license hospitals. The analysis of surgical departments work demonstrates the possibility of increase in loading (amount of operational interventions) on one surgeon; it is revealed significant share of operations I-II levels of complexity, 25–30% from which could be executed in out-patient conditions. Almost third of region’ surgeons (28,8% of working experts) pension or pension age.
Conclusions. The main directions of perfection surgical aid system are: the approval and implementation of state program on guaranteed level of medical care; continuation of reforming of primary and emergency medical care; personnel providing. Restructuring beds of surgical profile will allow to involve already released means for introduction of new technologies, providing medical patients, improvements of surgical care quality.
