Purpose: to assess the quality of life and health of students and teachers.
Materials and Methods. 125 participants of the educational process at the Arsen Rychynskyi Kremenets Medical Professional College were randomly selected, including 34 teachers and 91 students in the academic year 2022–2023. A demographic questionnaire and the WHO Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF) were used to collect data. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (percentage, mean, and standard error) and inferential statistics (Mann–Whitney U test, independent t-test, and correlation analysis).
Results. According to the results of the survey, the 7.65 % of teachers and 53.85 % of students considered that they had a good overall quality of life (mean score 3.74±0.09 and 3.80±0.10, respectively). 94.12 % teachers and 54.95 % students were satisfied with their health (mean score 3.88±0.08 and 3.59±0.08, respectively).
Teachers are generally more satisfied with their health and quality of life compared to students. Despite the higher percentage of teachers who consider their overall quality of life to be good, the average score for this indicator is slightly lower than that of students.
The significant difference in health satisfaction between teachers (94.12 %) and students (54.95 %) may indicate that teachers have more opportunities or resources to maintain their health and well-being.
Conclusions. No statistically significant differences between teachers and students in the areas of physical, psychological health and social well-being were found. Only the average score for the environment was significantly higher (p = 0.001) among the students (61.98±1.68) compared to the teachers (52.50±1.87). This may indicate that the students assess their environment more positively than teachers. This may be due to the fact that the students are in a more dynamic and stimulating environment related to learning, social interactions, and other activities that contribute to their overall sense of comfort and satisfaction.
