TRAINING OF FUTURE NURSES TO CONDUCT THERAPEUTIC TRAINING FOR PATIENTS WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA IN A HOSPITAL

Based on the observation and interview data from the patients of pulmonary and allergy departments, the author defines the priority areas for students training in medical college to conduct therapeutic training for patients with bronchial asthma. It is concluded that therapeutic training for hospital patients should be based on the nursing process, in contact and partnership with a doctor. Future nurses must be ready to clearly explain the patients with asthma the importance and the need of background therapy with inhaled corticosteroids.The nurse must perfectly understand the technique of usage the handheld inhalers and their varieties, be able to explain this technique to the patients and to identify possible errors. Understanding the impact of triggers on patients with asthma and the ability to explain this effect to the patients is also one of the essential skills of future nurses.
