Introduction. The study focuses on examining the mechanisms of balance disorders in lower limb injuries and developing effective rehabilitation methods. The results confirmed the effectiveness of a comprehensive approach that included physical therapy, orthotic use, and personalized programs, ensuring improvements in balance, coordination, and quality of life for patients.
The aim of the study – to investigate the mechanisms of balance disorders in lower limb wounds and to develop recommendations for correcting these disorders in patients during the stages of physical rehabilitation.
The main part. The rehabilitation measures involved 20 patients with mine-explosive injuries that resulted in lower limb damage. All patients had injuries of varying severity, requiring an individualized approach to correcting balance disorders. The research methods included an analysis of scientific sources, clinical observations, and the development and testing of new techniques to improve rehabilitation outcomes. The comparison of average values confirmed the high effectiveness of rehabilitation measures. Compared to the initial assessment, the indicators after 8 weeks significantly exceeded the baseline level, indicating the restoration of balance and movement coordination in most patients. Increases in average values in the platform stability test, improvements in coordination test results, and a significant increase in single-leg balance duration demonstrated that the implemented recovery methods were effective. These measures minimized the risk of recurrent injuries and improved patients’ quality of life. The reduction in the standard deviation range indicated that most patients achieved a relatively similar level of recovery, proving that the rehabilitation measures effectively supported all groups of patients with lower limb injuries.
Conclusions. A comprehensive approach to the diagnosis, correction, and rehabilitation of balance disorders, including clinical and instrumental methods, physical therapy, orthotic use, and personalized programs, has proven highly effective. This approach significantly improves the functional state of patients, contributing to the restoration of balance, mobility, and quality of life.
