Introduction. Medical education is a complex and multifaceted process that threatens the physical and psychological health of students. Nursing students experience more challenges in their academic motivation due to various internal and external factors, including personal, family, social, educational, and professional problems. These conditions can affect the physical, psychological, and social health of nursing students and their quality of life.
The aim of the study – to find out possible factors and factors influencing the quality of life of nursing students.
The main part. Our searches were based on the study of modern scientific sources of information on the specified subject. Nursing students face many challenges and stressors due to their academic life, and high academic and non-academic demands. Nursing training includes both theoretical and practical work. In practicums in hospitals and university clinics, student nurses work with patients and their families, which can cause exhaustion, burnout, and stress. Nursing students are still developing their skills to meet the professional demands of their roles. Therefore, it can be difficult for them to cope with high professional demands, which can lead to the development of burnout syndrome and stress. Aspects related to the lifestyle of nursing students, such as long classroom and practical hours, teacher-student relationships, lack of places to relax, little sleep, poor nutrition, lack of regular exercise, constant anxiety/stress about performance studying, among other things, in a university environment may not contribute or even hinder a good quality of life. Thus, the inclusion of any student in the “extraordinary” university routine can cause suffering, insecurity, fear, and anxiety, as well as reduce the quality of life.
Conclusions. Nursing students must maintain a healthy lifestyle and emotional balance, encouraging others to achieve a happier life, because physical and mental health are the main factors of a high quality of life.
