Abstract

Introduction. Arsen Richynskyi is a doctor, public, church and political figure, ethnologist of religion, composer, local historian, teacher, photographer. He received his primary education in the village parish school, then in the Kremenets gymnasium, the Kremenets theological school, and the Zhytomyr theological seminary. Graduated from the Imperial University of St. Volodymyr in Kyiv (1918). He was actively engaged in public-political and educational activities, having an active pro-Ukrainian position. He was persecuted by the Polish and Soviet occupation authorities.

The aim of the study – to acquaint junior specialists with medical education, who make up the majority of the country’s medical public, with the main milestones of the life and work of doctor Arsen Richynskyi.

Conclusions. Arsen Richynskyi was forgotten, and only after Ukraine gained state independence did his name receive proper respect.
