Abstract

Introduction. During the last ten years, chronic heart failure (CHF) has taken a special place in the focus of research by cardiologists. The prevalence of CHF in the general population ranges from 1 to 5 %, with data indicating a steady increase in the number of CHF cases worldwide.

The aim of the study – to study the effectiveness of improving the level of work of the average medical staff in providing care to patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) through the organization of the Heart Failure School.

The main part. In 2019, Ternopil Central District Hospital launched a Heart Failure School, which included direct communication with patients and online training, mainly through video conferences on the ZOOM, Google Meet and Viber platforms. The study included 86 patients with heart failure, mostly III FC (NYHA). The leading causes of CHF include coronary heart disease (CHD), hypertension (hypertension) and heart disease. Training at the school aimed to increase patients’ awareness of CHF, help them form self-control skills, inform them about modern drugs, optimize physical activity, and cooperate with medical personnel. Patients were given recommendations on diet, treatment, self-control, physical exercise, and psychological stress. The Minnesota Quality of Life Questionnaire (MLHFQ) assessed quality of life.

Conclusions. It was established that the integral indicators of the quality of life are inversely proportional to the FC of CHF and depend on the psycho-emotional sphere and physical functioning.
