Abstract

Introduction. Children and young people are a vulnerable group in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. This applies to both physical and psychological health, as well as their education and social development. It is important to understand how COVID-19 affects children’s physical health, including symptoms, chronic effects, risks, and prevention measures. The pandemic can have a serious psychological impact on children, such as stress, anxiety, feelings of alienation due to limited social contacts and experiencing the loss of relatives or loved ones. Changes in the educational process due to distance learning, restrictions on social contacts and other aspects related to the pandemic. Have an influence on children and young people. Today, the question of vaccinating children against COVID-19, its effectiveness and safety is relevant. The pandemic affects family and social relationships, the economic situation of families and access to medical care. In this regard, understanding and studying these aspects is of great importance for the development of effective strategies for the prevention and management of the pandemic, as well as for ensuring the optimal physical, psychological and social well-being of children.

The aim of the study – to investigate the issue, by the method of anonymous questionnaires, of vaccination in children and young people on the example of the Lviv United Territorial Community.

The main part. Quarantine measures affect all aspects of people’s lives and can lead to serious consequences for their well-being and well-being. Some countries have limited access to vaccines due to financial constraints or limited supply. This creates inequality in the population’s protection against the virus and can increase the risk of infection spreading. The presence of misinformation and myths about vaccination can lead to refusal of vaccinations and reduce the popularity of vaccination among some population groups. Some young people may experience fear or uncertainty about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, which may lead to refusal of vaccinations. Vaccinating children against COVID-19 raises questions about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines for this population. Addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive approach that includes fostering global collaboration, improving vaccination communication strategies, developing effective supply and logistics programs, and maintaining transparent and ethical principles in vaccination programs.

Conclusions. In our opinion, it is necessary to strengthen and activate one of today’s extremely important competences of a medical nurse, as preventive measures among the population, especially at a young age. And also to expand the information space in which to highlight the importance of vaccination of the population, through available means of obtaining information such as television, radio, social networks, etc.
