Abstract

The relevance of the research is determined by the fact that the problem of youth alcoholism, like most social problems, is systemic in nature. That is why the questions are devoted to the problem of youth alcoholism and ways to solve it are studied and clarified by specialists of various profiles and directions – from educators and medical workers to law enforcement agencies.

The aim of the work – to analyze the peculiarities of psychological and pedagogical work on the prevention of youth alcoholism as a way of forming a positive attitude towards a healthy lifestyle.

The main part. It was found that the coordinated actions of psychologists, doctors and teachers in the organization of sanitary and educational work to prevent the consumption of alcoholic beverages among the younger generation will have a positive effect. It was established that psychological and pedagogical prevention is directly related to the formation of adolescents’ social competence. If a young person knows how to fulfill his needs for communication, love, and satisfaction by adequate means, then he does not need to resort to alcohol. Attention is focused on the fact that psychological and pedagogical work on the prevention of youth alcoholism is closely related to many directions of the formation of a young person’s personality and should cover all factors of adolescent socialization. Thus, the goal of psychological and pedagogical prevention of youth alcoholism is the formation of anti-alcohol attitudes in adolescents as intra-personal regulatory mechanisms that ensure the implementation of behavior within the framework of a healthy and safe lifestyle.

Conclusions. It was concluded that when considering the issue of prevention of youth alcoholism, it is necessary to take into account the multifaceted nature of this phenomenon, and therefore the complexity of building a system of preventive measures. The effectiveness of psychological and pedagogical preventive work largely depends on its coordination. Carrying out separate measures will not give the desired result.
