Abstract

Summary. Violation of dental timing eruption may indicate the presence of pathology in the child's body and can manifest itself in the oral cavity in the form violation of functional reactions both in the body as a whole and in the oral cavity. Without studying the biophysical parameters of dental pulp, buccal epithelium and periodontal tissues, a full assessment of the dental status is impossible, as well as further development of effective ways to improve the prevention of major dental diseases of the oral cavity in children with delayed dental eruption.

The aim of the study – сomparative analysis of biophysical parameters of dental pulp, buccal epithelium and periodontal tissues in children 7 and 8 years old with delayed eruption with indicators of eruption occurred on time.

Materials and Methods. A survey of 124 children aged 7–8 years of both sexes was carried out. The main group of 7-year-old included 31 children with delayed dental eruption, whose permanent teeth have not yet begun to erupt. The main group of 8-year-old included 31 children with delayed teething in whom not more than 4 permanent teeth erupted. The comparison group of 7-year-old included 31 children without general somatic diseases in which the teething occurred on time. In children of all groups, studies of buccal epithelial cells, the functional state of the dental pulp were carried out, and the response of capillaries to a regulated chewing load was assessed.

Results and Discussion. Research data on changes in the electrical impedance of dental hard tissues indicates a low functional caries-preventive activity of the pulp in children with delayed dental eruption. Studies of electrophoretic activity data of nuclei and plasmole of buccal epithelium cells in children with delayed teething indicate a decrease in the level of nonspecific resistance in the body as a whole and in the oral cavity in particular. In children with delayed teething of 7 and 8 years old, under the influence of a regulated chewing load, a decrease in the color coordinates of the gums was observed, which is explained by a decrease in blood flow in them due to spasm of the capillaries.

Conclusions. Carried out studies indicate a need to develop comprehensive system for the prevention of major dental diseases in children with delayed eruption includes the appointment of drugs that normalize functional reactions in the oral cavity.
